SpyroTheArtistTerrordactyl was once a species of pterosaur that lived 65 million years ago and his remains were found not too far from Philadelphia in a forest. His remains were brought back to a facility and there they wanted to experiment if they could bring back life but alter his genes to see what would happen. So they drastically altered his physiology and gave him a higher functioning brain. After the process was done he was reborn into the world and was able to speak fluent English. He further showed off his higher intelligence by solving hard equations and new methods for other experiments they were working on.
During his experiments, he discovered a way how to prolong the life of humanity. This was a goal that no other scientific mind had done in all of their lives. Excited about his new finding he hurried over to present them to the board. However, instead of overwhelming applause, he was met with ridicule and disgust for what it was that he was suggesting. His method involved dissecting a living human beings and augmenting them with chemicals that could amplify their strength and make them near immortal. He was distraught by this rejection but decided that he need to “prove” to them that this could work. So he abducted many of his colleagues and subjected them to his horrific experiments.
However, the board became aware of what it was that he was doing to the other scientists. They launched an investigation into the matter and stormed his laboratory. There they found the mangled bodies and pieces of other scientists in test tubes. They even saw that he fused organic matter and technology together to create barely functioning cyborgs. They soon found themselves ambushed by the pterosaur and saw him cladded in a mechanized suit of his own design. He proclaimed to them that through his discoveries he found that humankind is on the verge of a collapse and that if they were going to survive he’ll need to perfect his experiment further to help them. He eliminated the people who broke in and eventually found his way to Philadelphia where he found many of the villains Zed had made fit the mold he wanted. He even noticed the presence of Zed and while Zed is the perfect ideal representation of his ideology he sees him as someone who could ruin his plan and any other potential plans he may have down the road. So he plays pretend acting like a friend and to give him advice which is really seeing how Zed fights so he can accurately counter him.
