NeoGnWWhen I saw Sora join smash bros I knew that it had to be one of two options for the stage and thus saw that they picked Hollow Bastion as the representative area for Kingdom Hearts.
Fair enough, that castle is so eye catching, imposing (and most likely has none of the disney).
What was the other option I was thinking of? Traverse Town.
This place is just SO COZY, I love the lore reason of why Traverse Town even exists: If you lost your home and can never return, Traverse Town will manifest the hell out of nowhere to give you a new place to call home for as long as you need it to be there.
No, seriously, that's the entire reason of why Traverse Town shows up in KH1 (to house Sora after he became stranded) and in Dream Drop Distance (specially weird since the worlds in DDD are worlds that were previously destroyed, it can't happen to Traverse Town since we locked the keyhole in KH1, so it shows up there anyway to provide shelter to the fleeing TWEWY cast).
I have fond memories from Traverse Town, I started the series ever since the original release of KH1 (and actually, owe much of my english speaking abilities to memorizing the crap out of KH1's script) and revisiting this place (which was severely expanded upon) in Dream Drop was a delightful experience.
To me, Traverse Town is very much a cozy home I can return to, so I repaid it in kind by having it represent Kingdom Hearts on this series of Worms Map I'm making.
Makes sense too, this place looks very eye catching compared to the regular Kingdom Hearts neutral (read: non-disney) worlds. I always prefered this place to Twilight Town, Radiant Garden or The World That Never Was, personally.
