Mia and Ethan never meet, she was a mercenary for The Connections and Ethan was a detective/fbi agent, both got trap by Eveline and turned into mold Lords with the Bakers, all of them forced to become Eveline's family, and ruling over the small town of Dulvey.
Years later, Karl and his daughter Rose where passing by when a mold monster made their car crash. By the time Karl woke up, Rose was gone. Searching, he founds the town and tries the ask the people if they saw her. Eventually, he bumps into Ethan, who apathically tells him he should leave the town now. Karl ignores him. Somebody guides him to the abandoned manor of the Bakers, where he finds Mia locked in a cage. She tricks him, playing the innocent victim to later go crazy with the chainsaw. Karl manages to "kill" her, but then Ethan appears...
I'm realizing that I really like to made Ethan badass and made Karl suffer so much, I don't know why lol
