Nazuna was born in Japan, yet spent most of her childhood in Australia. Her mother Cindy is a retired surf champion while her father Jimi is a swim coach. She has two younger brothers- Zak and Shin (Suzaku and Shinobu).
Nazuna has always loved the water, even throwing fits as a child when bath time was over. Nazuna wanted to follow in her mother's steps as a surfer, thus leading down her training path.
Nazuna is a laid back, go with the flow kind of girl. She's considered the mom friend by those close to her, and will make sure everyone else is okay first before taking care of herself. She's honest, but can accidentally come off more blunt than intented. She'll immediately apologize if she's suspected she's hurt someone in any way. Her mothering nature can often be percieved as nosy and smothering.
Nazuna has mutual respect for both Aoi Asahina and Akane Owari, moreso having friendly rivalries with them. The three always push each other to be the best they can be.
