This is an artwork on the Spanish blue division; a Spanish volunteer division that fought in Russia for Germany. The division soon met its end and was forced to trek back to Poland in temperatures of -30 or worse. The division was officially dissembled, though some still fought for Germany in France as hardened soldiers.
