SebasLangleyThis is my interpretation of Grant Danesty if he was in the Netflix anime. Though I love the anime I felt it was a little disappointing that Grant is not in the show.
I imagine Grant looking a little gruff and looking like a mercenary that went through shit after Dracula’s war on humanity. Despite this, he is very honorable and a good friend to Trevor Belmont. I can imagine him being a friend that Trevor can relate to.
I tried to make him fit in with the anime instead of him looking like a typical pirate or thief cause I find it very boring and generic for him to be portray as a pirate or a thief, I prefer to portray him as a honorable mercenary. Also I would introduce him in season 3 cause season 3 was the perfect time to introduce Grant.
I also change his name because I like to imagine him as a character that is willing to help people but always remain forgotten which ironic to say the least because Grant is consider to be the most forgotten character in the castlevania series and is never brought up as much. I felt the anime lost it’s chance to make him more memorable and interesting.
Instead of the pirate of the roads joke, I like to imagine a running gag with the character where he is constantly mistaken as a pirate and he has to correct people that he isn’t. It’s a good reference where Grant is constantly referred as a pirate by fans and the mistranslation of his character (in the Japanese version of Dracula’s Curse he is referred as a thief not a pirate even he looks a mixture of both so…)
