Perhaps Zitta's worst day ever. He is escorting Farrvaarh out of the cave, then at some point he notices a hole in his pouch, the one he stored one of the crystals from the shattered hourglass to examine it. He reasons it must have fallen on their way, and they could find it. So they go outside, back the route they came from, in search for it. Farrvaarh notices a glint in the snow, and crouches for it. When Zitta sees something black whizzing towards her. He dashes forward and pushes Farrvaarh out of the way. Zitta flies into a drift of snow.
Yes, the poor boy gets shot by a black arrow enhanced with magic that in his case turns out as curse that changes his life forever. No, it was not aimed at him, but he became the "shield" taking the hit. And yeah, the boy didn't die, only *spoiler* the phoenix "soul" in him did. :/ During which he's surrounded by a ball of blinding light and when that light dissipates, a white cat rests in its place. And yes, he can no longer shape shift into phoenix and only his boy form during particular moon phase. Why certain? Because, he stays in cat form until full moon after which he can remain as boy until the new moon. The full moon is when his "lost" phoenix sings in the otherworld to regain his strength again. And so his boy form will get weaker after each day until he can no longer keep it up in new moon...
I actually referenced the pose, taking picture of my own legs in the air in kind of like that pose, because I couldn't find a good one. I had skirt that made some great, inspiring folds I applied to his tunic hem here, so hard to figure out the folding of clothing otherwise. xD And the cloak well, my artistic side ended up fancying it up a bit, ehh. ^^;
