Gotta love this kitsune, and nine-tailed man. :la: (Yes, he's a guy even if he may appear more lady-like, gender isn't so straightforward in Japanese folklore ~).
The fan hand was one of the most difficult things about this, even if I had my own hand as a reference but I'm rather satisfied now. And the face, the paper knows how much I added and removed coloured pencil to get the good shine and all the features visible. Especially the eyes were a struggle, so tiny... even if I sharpened the pen to max sharpenss, haha.
Also, realised when working on this, the flower on his chest must be lycoris. The same Higanbana's evolution has on her back. In Japanese folklore those are onmious flowers that grow in 'Hell' meant to guide the dead into next reincarnation, or so the Wikipedia tells me. That's why the flowers are often used in funereal. Red spider lily = 彼岸花 (higanbana) in Japanese.

If anybody knows what are those knots tied to his sleeves, I'd be happy to know. Since such knots appear to here and there but I still haven't found out what they're called. ^^;

Material: Fabriano Designo Black paper (this paper is forest certified?!? Just noticed! :o (Eek)), Caran d'Ache coloured pencils, kneaded eraser and Rembrandt soft pastels.
