Rage SigmaPartially a revisit to a few 2012 fan arts and also an attempt to draw the intro scene of CotM except with almost different graphics: Lots of warm colors for the background.
In the 2012 version, Nathania and Huette had the same clothes as their male counterpart, thus the current version here is pretty much a revision to this particular parallel universe of CotM with unique outfits for them. [Too much Espgaluda in mind...]
However, this fan art is the first introduction to Mauricette, Draculina, and Kamile's appearance... and probably the characters' sprite overall.
2012 vs 2021 characters' given name
- The player character's name is still the same: Nathania Graves
- Her rival only has a letter difference: Huetta Baldwin
- Their mistress: Mauricette Baldwin
- Antagonists: Draculina and her servant Kamile
[Resources were used for the names just to be sure the meaning remains the same. The female name for Dracula will be difficult to decide though, so for now it's just Draculina.]
The room in this version contains at least a few similarities to the original one's besides the same layout.
The major difference is that this resembles an organ room with no candles nor chandeliers due to the stained glass of the gargoyle above the organ being illuminated in the dark. Moreover, the red carpets are seen torn unlike the clean ones in the original, somewhat symbolizing blood on the stairs. Lastly, the door to the Ceremonial Room has a bit more sinister look with the solar/lunar cycle seen on its side. Quite generic in my thought but that's what happened when using only three colors (not counting the shading/neighbor colors) to draw the door.
[Also, not that great at drawing rock textures, so I'll have to practice on this more.]
As of the second image, the right sprite was the first Nathania sprite I drew. Yet, moments later I noticed it sort of did not fit well with how the scene in the original looks like, so that's where the left sprite of her was made.
Other than that, nothing much to say about this. And I doubt I'm good at making sprites, so this is considered a silly CotM concept in mind. Revisions will be possible in the future.
[I forgot... the schedule for school will start soon, so I doubt there will be a lot of time to draw new fan arts when it comes. Till break time then for RS.]
