It's March 8th, 2011. Saki Endo is a 24 year old skateboarder from a small town in coastal Iwate prefecture Japan. She longs to escape the confines of her small town life, and live in Tokyo, design skate fashion and skate. But her past has held her back for so many years, the pressure of expectation of others, to conform. All any one else wants of Saki is for her to marry and have children. But her star lays beyond the realm of her present situation.
Then the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami of 2011 happens, Saki's life and world is about to be turned upside down. She will have the ultimate choice in life....
Along the way, Saki will meet life weary 37 year old Tokyo police officer Hisao Sato who has all but given up hope of finding any real joy in life and is a slave to his desk. She will also meet 21 year old Kaito Seki, shy and quiet but talented vert skateboarder who has more than a few secrets of his own he's keeping...
Together, Saki, Hisao and Kaito are asked the question, how are you going to live now?
