Chapter 13 - Summary
1st Pic:
Mihawk introduced Robin to Zoro and Perona. He explained that she's going to live with them from now on as part of their preparation for their wedding next year. Perona frowned as she heard the news. On the other hand, Zoro smiled because he'll be able to see Robin everyday. Mihawk added another news about Perona's successful application as a part-time crew in Makino's bar. However, Perona seemed to remain sad despite of the great news.
2nd Pic:
That night, Robin asked everyone to celebrate Perona's achievement for getting a job. Perona couldn't help but feel comfortable around Robin because she's kind to her even though it's their first time meeting each other. Robin also complimented her for being mature and independent despite of her young age. Perona said, "I just recently turned eighteen last June, that's why I'm working on the things that an adult can do." But then, Zoro wondered, "How's your secret admirer doing by the way? Did he start asking you for a date?"
"Uhm... Actually, I found out that he doesn't have any feelings for me. It just so happened that I misunderstood his generosity." Perona replied. Zoro got worried and asked her if she's okay. But, she proudly said, "Of course! There are plenty of fish in the sea! For sure there's someone out there who's way better than him and will never dare to break my heart." Mihawk suddenly cleared his throat after hearing Perona's words. Although he's actually hurt, he still managed to show his support, "I'm glad that you finally realized that you don't deserve that guy." He said. That moment, Robin felt the tension between the two so she raised a glass to make the situation better, "Cheers to our mature and independent Perona!" They all raised their glasses, except Zoro who's underage and still not allowed to drink. Later that night, the two girls got very drunk.
Zoro: Let's bring them back to their rooms.
Mihawk: Alright. Please assist Robin.
Zoro: W-wait! Are you sure?! She's your fiancee, right? You should be---
Mihawk: It doesn't matter.
Mihawk stood up and carried Perona instead.
3rd Pic:
Mihawk was suprised when Perona suddenly spoke while on their way to her room. "I'm sorry..." Perona said with her eyes closed and still drunk.
Mihawk: For what...?
Perona: I lied earlier... The truth is, I can never find someone better than you because you'll always be the best... Although you broke my heart, I still love you and I will always do...
Mihawk was stuck and couldn't say a word. He wanted her to stop and forget about him. But, instead of telling her to do that, he ended up saying, "I love you too..."
Perona didn't respond as she already fell asleep. Mihawk kissed her goodnight then whispered, "...Maybe this isn't the right time for you to hear that, but I promise to say it again soon."
