Chapter 10 - Summary
1st Pic:
Perona went to Shanks' place right after her class. Since Makino was not around, Shanks asked Perona to do all the household chores so he could forgive her for being rude to him during the first time they had met. Without hesitations, Perona agreed, "Okay! Just promise me that you won't tell Mihawk about what happened that time." Shanks wondered, "Why are you so afraid of him? I understand that he's strict, but he's not the kind of person who can harm a woman."
Perona: I know. I just don't like seeing his face angry. I prefer him smiling.
Shanks: Do you like him?
Perona: Uhm... Yes, but he doesn't feel the same way. He only sees me as a little sister, that's all.
Shanks couldn't help but laugh so hard, "HA HA HA!" Then he started teasing her, "Well, in my opinion, I don't see you as a little sister, but as a BABY! HA HA HA!" Perona raised one of her eyebrows, "Hey! I'm already an adult, FYI!!!" But Shanks continued making fun of her, "But you still look and act like a kid! Remember the time when Mihawk removed the dirt on your face? You're like a BABY that needs to be taken care of all the time! HA HA HA!" Perona chose to ignore him even though she really wanted to hit him with a mop.
2nd Pic:
After taking a shower and doing her skincare routine, Perona stayed in front of the mirror while still angry, "Damn you, redhead! How dare you compare me to a BABY! Just wait and I'll prove to everyone that I can take care of myself from now on!" Perona was also planning to change her style to look more mature.
3rd Pic:
On the following day, Mihawk and Zoro was waiting for Perona to go downstairs. Usually, Mihawk is the one who takes them to school before going to work then fetches them after their classes. But, that morning, Perona insisted to go to school on her own without anyone's assistance.
"Do you know how dangerous for you to ride any public vehicles?! What if you encountered some pickpockets?! " Mihawk asked her, followed by another question from Zoro, "And what if you failed to cross the road properly?!" Then, Mihawk asked her again, "Or worse, what if some bad guys harassed or kidnapped you?!"
Perona felt annoyed, "Stop treating me as if I'm a kid! I'm already 18! I can defend and take care of myself! Besides, I will be graduating this semester! Soon, I will enter College, live in the dorm, and become independent!" Perona walked out, leaving Mihawk and Zoro behind. "I will tell dad that you're acting like a brat again!" Zoro shouted even though Perona wasn't around anymore. He was gonna call Kuma on the phone, but Mihawk stopped him from doing so, "Don't bother, Zoro. We'll just simply follow the bus that she's about to ride everyday so we could check that she's always safe."
Although Perona is now ready to become independent, Mihawk is still not ready to let her go.
