LitostAndTeaRequest of a Shipgirl/Ferramacta design for the New York fireboat Fire Fighter (1938). "America's Fireboat" has an amazing background as a fire service icon, having been in frontline service for over seven decades protecting New York Harbor and being involved in some of the most storied and harrowing maritime emergencies in US history. Not only is she preserved as a museum boat, she is actually kept in operational condition and is sailed by volunteers from time to time. Someone close to the ship requested this design of her, and as far as we are both concerned, it came out pretty well!
I kinda like to think she keeps on good terms with other museum ships, especially the ones in her area.
She's definitely worth visiting in Greenport, New York, and definitely worth throwing your money at as well!
