Chapter 5 - Summary
1st Pic:
Early that morning, Mihawk got sick because of the bad weather. He told Zoro and Perona that he couldn't cook meals because he needed enough rest and he didn't want them to be infected. The two cousins suggested to bring him to the nearest clinic so he could receive proper treatment and for a faster recovery, but Mihawk insisted that all he needed was rest. Thus, Zoro and Perona were asked to keep quiet and do not dare to disturb him in his room.
2nd Pic:
It was lunch time when Mihawk woke up and felt an ice bag on his head for cold compress. He was surprised upon seeing Perona, taking care of him, and holding a porridge as if she's trying to spoon-feed him. Out of irritation, Mihawk reminded her that she's not allowed to enter his room and she will be punished for not following his rule.
"Alright, you can punish me after I take care of you and once you've completely recovered." Perona answered with confidence. She also said that she used to take care of her late father and Zoro whenever they're sick just to convince Mihawk that she's trained in assisting a sick person. She also added that becoming a NURSE is her dream. Eventually, Mihawk let her do whatever she wanted to do, except the 'spoon-feeding' thing.
3rd Pic:
Mihawk laid on his bed after eating the porridge and drinking his medicine. He was surprised once again when Perona stroked his head all of a sudden.
Mihawk: What was that for?
Perona: So you could easily fall asleep. It's hard to sleep when you're not feeling well, right?
Mihawk: I don't need it.
Perona: Ssshhh! Just close your eyes!
Mihawk had no energy to argue with her anymore so he let her do what she wanted. Perona asked him something while gently stroking his head, "It feels nice when you're being taken care of, right?" Then, Mihawk answered with his eyes closed, "I don't know. My mother was not hands-on when raising me so I grew up independently."
"...But no matter how strong and independent you are, it doesn't mean that no one's allowed to take care of you." After hearing Perona's words, Mihawk was touched, but he tried not to show it. Instead of replying, he pretended that he fell asleep already. "...Maybe he's asleep now." Perona said quietly, then she stopped stroking Mihawk's head.
Mihawk: Why did you stop? I'm still awake.
Perona: Oh, I'm sorry...
Mihawk smiled when Perona continued stroking his head again. It was the first time in his life that he liked the feeling of being sick.
