The cape and right glove are Aether's way of remember his sister, to have something remind him of Lumine's warm when they're still together...
Aether may look cold and uninterested in anybody, but that's because he's only showing his soft, affectionous side to Lumine.
Of course, when the guys of Teyvat see a strange handsome man holding hand with Lumine everywhere and hugging her whenever one of them approach her, they know that man is danger itself...
I don't know anymore, I just to see these two happy and maybe some shoujo dumb trope to ease the pain from the main story ;-;
