GalahadIn the year 1888 William H. Sprague of Jamestown patented a bizarre concept for a revolver that according to him would "rendering the complete fire-arm more compact, lessening the weight of pocket arms, and making them more convenient in use and transportation" by having the cylinder in the grip of the revolver and having the barrel curve.
His concept never saw the light of day but the idea of curved barrels has lived on in weapons like the German Krummlauf.
this simple model is based on the patent drawings of William H. Sprague in the book Firearms Curiosa written by Lewis Winant.
