My second submission for my event, Mechtember. This time, we're presenting the granddaddy of real robots, a mech from Mobile Suit Gundam (get used to that name you'll be hearing it a lot) specifically, the RX-78-2 Gundam from the original series, created by Yoshiyuki Tomino (get used to that name you'll be hearing it a lot) and animated by Sunrise (get used to that name you'll be hearing it a lot).
To be honest, I didn't really like the series that much, it felt like such a drag with the stuff it focuses on, and it's so damn condescending and pretentious with its messages, though I heard the movie trilogy is better, and hopefully the other series are better about it.
The RX-78-2 was the prototype/first Mobile Suit made by the federation, along with the Guncannon and Guntank to help fight the Principality of Zeon on the O Neil Cylinder Side 6, before being attacked by Zeon forces lead by Char. Leading to the prototypes, the ship known as White Base, and our protagonists escaped and try to get back to Earth. It also act as the basis for the mass production mobile suit, known as the GM.
