Devilman by Go Nagai. Nemesis by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill from 2000ad. Art by me. Done in inks, photoshop with textures from my own photography, using the Toronto Aquarium for reference of an alien-like landscape. My take on Devilman was mostly based on the original design including the 1987 OAV. The chitin armour look for his shins, feet and tail is a reference to some of his more modern looks. Nemesis was a mix between O'Neill's design, Henry Flint, and a gentle pinch of John Hicklenton for the horns.
