AspieAfterDarkPrincess Zelda (Child) as she appears in Ocarina of Time.
Being born in the Era of The Hero of Time, this Zelda is quite important to the mythology of said hero having had dark cloudy dreams in which he is essentially the sole green ray of hope. Eventually, Zelda's dreams come to pass when she meets the prophecized hero of her dreams in the flesh the same day an untrustworthy man known as Ganondorf is trying to gain an audience with Zelda's doubtful father, the king of Hyrule.
Together with Link, the two youths conspire to stop Ganondorf from gaining access to the Sacred Realm, but that all goes to hell despite Link's heroic efforts helping out the local tribes of the Gorons and the Zoras and gaining their respective sacred spiritual stones and its all Zelda can do to toss the young lad the mystical Ocarina of Time as she and her protector, Impa, are forced to flee from Hyrule Castle with Ganondorf, having betrayed the King, in hot pursuit only stopping to accost Link for a brief moment.
Will Link ever see Zelda again in his lifetime?
