Mysterious figures dressed in creepy circus harlequins saved her from a terrible fate. Her saviors had the forms and features of a human body, but, in their words, "they were not human." The unknown rescuers of the girl told her to forget about her past because her life was lost during the attack on the city, and then they took her into their care. Now she is under their supervision and, having developed the talent of a mechanic, she became an indispensable member of the harlequins, who just needed them.
At the moment she is "the only person" in the circle of her acquaintances who gave her the nickname "Wriggler", but for her close friends she responds to the name "Mariko"
