Army will soon prepare to march; Marta says farewell her parents and leaves home. When Marta’s mother tried to hold her daughter’s, Marta turns around and pulls hand back. With tear in her eyes, Marta realises she must leave ASAP; otherwise she won’t be able to hold herself from crying out. Marta’s ego will never allow herself crying, that looks too coward.
Marta is not a recruit, but it will be the first time she faces the most horrified creatures someone could ever imagine – brutal monsters and ruthless Demons. Even solider knew he/she would face demons one day. However, when that day is finally about to come, Marta doesn’t know if she is prepared.
The war against Demon kind has already been lasting for several hundred years. Like everyone else, Marta grew up with the tales of Demons and those heroes who defeated them. Marta doesn’t know whether she and her comrades will become heroes/heroines, but she knows something for certain -- most of those heroes/heroines in legend never returned home.
Marta’s Campaign will be a series of story-telling illustrations and will be focusing on a young Cuirassier captain called Marta. Usually my work is just purely character design with a background, but this will the first time I try to work on a series of story-driven illustrations. The plan I have right now is make about 10 pieces, it may be changed.

部队即将开拔，玛塔与家人做最后的道别。当母亲准备最后牵一次女儿的手时，玛塔迅速将手抽回来并转过身去。泪水在玛塔眼中打转————玛塔知道她必须马上走了，不然就会再也忍不住哭出声来。玛塔的自尊心是绝对不允许哭泣这种懦弱的行为。
玛塔并不是第一次上战场，但这会是第一次和魔族部队的正面交锋。魔族和魔兽的可怖被无数的传闻和口述印证并渲染放大，他们也无疑成为了大部分士兵最不想面对的敌人。每个士兵都知道有一天自己会直面可怕的魔族，但当这一天即将到来，玛塔不知道自己是否真的准备好了。和魔族的战争已经有数百年之久。和所有人一样，玛塔也是听着可怕魔族和打倒他们的英雄的故事长大的。玛塔不知道她和她的战友们能不能成为英雄，但有一点玛塔清楚的明白——很多故事中的英雄最后都没能再活着回到家乡。
准备围绕一个角色画一套图，主角是个叫玛塔的胸甲骑兵队长。第一次做这类有故事性的，之前都是基本单张角色设计再随便怼个背景。目前准备画大概10张吧，也许会有增减。最近特别忙，而且别的图还会同时画；不知道什么时候能搞完，不过今年之内应该没问题。而且主要目的是试验叙述故事，所以图会画得比较草。
