PickledGearRH stands for Rhodes. This piece was just a test to see if I could create a piece using Concept Artist; Tom Rhodes' technique of using layer masks for everything from individual base colors. To the shading and lighting on the piece. I highly recommend both Tom Rhodes and Matt Rhodes' youtube channels and watch their work. They both are professional concept artists mostly known for their work on Bioware related games and media.
Anyways took a sketch I did last year and applied what I watched onto it. Turned out well for a first try. Perhaps I shall use it more often if I had more confidence in my brush skills and rendering certain materials right.
