JiwoLast year I put in all my efforts to complete a pitch for Creators for Creators pitch. These are the final pitch materials for my project called Terra! I think I'll refrain from including the story outline (the pitch is for a book of 100 pages upon completion) so that I might not spoil the story for (potential) future readers. I am pitching for a book 1 of the planned series of probably a few volumes.
The story takes place in a world called 'Terra', and revolves around a little witch apprentice called Saoirse, thematically - a personal take on the occult, nature, forest stories, and a bigger arching plot which dives into the concept of man vs nature, environmental pollution and the effects of human civilization on the environment, flora & fauna, and the indigenous.
Attached is also a 5-page comic for a sequential sample that is a requirement for the submission.
What I would have liked to do if I had more time:
1. A full chapter as sample.
2. More relevant character references.
3. Some plot details, character arcs and lores are still quite vaguely written, albeit the main plot-line completed. I will probably sit down now that the submission is done to do more R&D and writing it properly.
4. Visuals for key environment set pieces.
