Mignola’s work was one of the few truly excellent things to come out of 1990s American comics, and I’ve always had a soft spot for the big red guy himself.
I’m really curious to see what the upcoming film reboot can do with (and for) the character, although I must confess that with digital effects being what they are today, I kinda wish they got over the rubber musclesuit idea and instead used motion capture to give us a page-accurate Hellboy who’s not bound to the all-too-human physical proportions of a real-life actor, the way they did in Injustice 2.
