"Index" is the nickname of an old man from the community of Kaiku Island. Like the others, he have a strange portion of skin covered with scales. Due to his old age, his memory is quite unreliable, and varies from a word for word recitation of the entire listing of Orchish votive dollies offering to being unable to remember what he ate this morning.
He can't (or won't) remember his real name, and since the Dragon attack and subsequent burning of the Walker Church, few records has been saved. He did care for a while, but nowadays the resurgence of the Maelstrom filled the agenda.
He cares a lot about the on-growing circle of natives gravitating around the library, acting as a (very silly) fatherly figure to them.
