He's a demon slayer for hire. Generally accepts cash as payment but will take rare family heirlooms and pawns them for cash. What? He can't fight demons on an empty stomach.
His main reason for slaying demons aside from monetary gain is the fact that he wants answers to who slaughtered his clan (originally named the Kazuya clan, no expressed last name given at this point to avoid confusion with the Kazuya clan of demons that appeared in my later works)
