Illcitvirus115The was once an atheist scientist who forgot whose name has been lost to the ages that wanted to perfect The Earth, and slowly became obsessed with religion and robotics. Viewing the planet and the human spirit as imperfect and unnatural, he began implanting himself with cybernetics, and was empowered by a mysterious artifact that made him both demon and angel by his own hand, and granted him immense control over reality. The population managed to escape his wrath before Earth was destroyed, discovering the exotic paradise of Planet Eden. He then decided to remake the planet in his "perfected" image, creating his own form of Heaven, while Hell still existed, thus setting the plot for Cave Story, incontent with a world without God or Satan, he decided to play both, often breaking his role in times of stress, destroying the planet again and again when things do not go his way. With this constant destructive behavior, his personal robot servants become self-aware and realize he is insane, and attempt to make him realize through their actions and that of others that a soul cannot exist without flaws. Ironically, while he views himself as unflawed, he has become the duality of man. Good and evil, giver of life and death, force of creation and destruction. His servants have thus dubbed him "Dr. Niju-sei".
