This is a BZT (API-T) projectile used with 23x152mm Belted ammo.

The projectile is composed of steel. It has a ballistic cap crimped onto the front and has a tracer element in the base. The incendiary mixture is held in a cup within the ballistic cap, right in front of the projectile body. The top two-thirds of the ballistic cap are empty.
