This month on the 28th Atelier-Mer released their newest entry on the Azur Lane ASMR series. Roon is a very precious Character for me, Many players see her just on a surface level and automatically call her a Yandere, however, her concept is actually the opposite of the Yandere trope, she was already Psychotic and dangerous before meeting her love interest and it is through the process of bonding and becoming more intimate that her more fierce side becomes less intense and better managed.
Naturally I instantly bought this publication as soon as it was released, it is very lengthy so regretfully I still have not been able to listen to it entirely. But from what I have experience so far I believe Atelier-Mer did an amazing job which makes justice to my precious Roon, the script is very faithful to her character and one can tell they also put love and care into the simple animations and transitions used during the video versions of the album.
I see this as a special occasion, so I decided to dedicate the entirety of today to producing two pieces in celebration of this event, this one was meant to be slightly humorous because of it being a meta-representation of the work, (Roon recording the lines in a recording booth).
The other one is one of my usual solo nude pin-ups, I will describe it at further detail in its own post.
Regarding the composition I originally intended to draw a Neumann Ku100 as the binaural microphone solution, thinking that it would be easy for the general public to identify as a microphone since V-tubers have turned it into the image of a stereotypical ASMR mic. However, during the middle of production I changed my mind and decided that a more Sci-Fi aesthetic would look more inline with the current state of the game's setting. the Plain black cotton t-shirt is actually a deliberate choice for practical reasons, during recordings it is highly advisable for the talent to wear clothing that is less likely to produce rustling sounds and the like.
Here is a fun fact. I used to be a full time Audiovisual Technician for 11 years until I changed career paths, and I still take gigs every so often to this day for a total of 13 years of experience on this field. I specialize in audio processing and system design for live events on large venues, but I have also participated in the production, recording and post processing of a couple ASMR projects during my career. So I am actually very discerning and critical when it comes to this kind of content. This one gets my seal of approval in case you were still on the fence about buying it.
Although I gladly endorse this work, I am not by any means affiliated to Yostar or Atelier-Mer, I get no benefit whatsoever from promoting their product.
