KiraYamatoFanFor a few years now, I wanted to portray Mikasa as a first lieutenant of the Imperial Japanese Army from the early stages of the 20th century, namely during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-05. Interestingly, "Attack on Titan" takes place in a time period similar to the early 1900s. The idea first came when I watched "Golden Kamuy" and 坂の上の雲.
Below are the specific details and contexts for 3 sets of frontline officer uniforms.
1) M1904 khaki tunic and M1900 blue trousers (Battle of Hill 203)

By the time this artwork is posted, it will be exactly 120 years to the day and time when the final assault on Hill 203 succeeded on December 5, 1904 (11:30 JST; 10:30 PM Dalian time).
