Borgalor is my magitech fantasy world with a level of technology ranging from medieval to the late 1990s, home to nine different sapient species.
Goblins in Borgalor are one of the main sapient people in Jælondis, the northern continent of Borgalor, which they share with dwarves, elves and humans, but are neither closely related to those people nor native to that part of the world. Early goblins lived in northern Örkraz near the equator, but due to pressure from the snake-like ophids were forced to sail across the sea and eventually landed in the region of Ójom in southeastern Jælondis.
There they've adapted well to this new environment, to the point of having ruled over a large portion of the continent for centuries before the area was reclaimed by native dwarven and human rebels, and also established new countries in the Southlands, the southernmost continent of Borgalor. Along with traditional industries like fishing, logging weaving, metallurgy and alchemy, certain goblin countries have become important in fields of mining and processing magic crystals and runecraft (Borgalor's equivalent of programming).
Depicted here are representatives of the two most powerful goblin countries in Jælondis, the woman on the right hails from Biþræ in eastern Ójom and the man is from Terúk to the southeast.
