Effigloom - The Shadow Pokemon
Water-type
There is an area of the Gloom realm known as the Shadow Sea. In the depths of the sea is a glowing green mass of intelligent Gloom - when a piece breaks off and floats to the surface, it wraps itself in liquid Gloom to become Effigloom.
This Pokemon has no fixed form and in fact will copy the opponent's form when sent into battle. Effigloom cannot copy a form perfectly and there are easy ways to tell them apart. What makes this Pokemon dangerous is that it can hide within shadows and feed on the emotions of whoever it stays with. It cannot survive in a desert environment.
Effigloom's Signature Move: Surging Shadow
A Water-type Special move that becomes Physical if the user's Physical Attack is higher then it's Special Attack. This move has a chance to inflict the Gloom effect on opponents.
Effigloom's Second Signature Move: Enivous Energy
A Normal-type move that becomes physical or special depending on whether the user's attack or special attack stat is higher. If the opponent does not have a secondary type, this move cannot be used.
Effilgoom's Unique Ability: Gloom Mirror
The user copies the opponent's form.
When Effigloom is sent out into battle, it will copy the following from the opponent;
* It will copy the opponent’s shape, but not it’s colour scheme
** Effigloom's Shiny form dictates whether it appears Shiny or not, not the opponent.
* It will copy the opponent’s stats
* It will not copy the opponent’s Ability
Effigloom will always be a Water-type, but it’s second type will change based on the following criteria;
> Does the opponent have one or two types?
> If the opponent has one type, is it Water?
> If yes, the user's type does not change.
> If no, Effigloom will add the opponent’s type to it’s own.
If the opponent has two types, is the second type Water?
> If yes, the user's type does not change
> If no, Effigloom will add the opponent’s second type to it’s own.
