Rivenlovertw從記事以來，少女就不曾看過星空。
具體來說，是指毫無視野上的阻礙，彷彿能在其下細數天上繁星的那種星空。
那是因為，在這片巨木聳立的森林，在其深處的精靈居所左近。
只有母樹頂層的王室居所，或是攀上聖塔爾山的峭壁，才能一覽整片天空。
少女不只一次溜出家門，在離村落不遠處的森林中翹首仰望，卻始終只能看見茂密的樹冠與其間灑落的淡淡餘暉，或是偶爾探出身影的幾點星光。
聽說，天上的星星比母樹的葉子還要多。
聽說，世上有多少人，天上就有多少星星，因為每顆星星都代表了一個人。
聽說，夜晚中一覽無遺的星空，就像是無數繽紛璀璨的寶石鑲在黑幕上，映射著優雅清冷的月光。
少女夢想著在星空下仰望，尋找著屬於自己的那顆星星。
夢想著在溫婉寧靜的夜色下，拼湊著屬於星星們的圖案。
夢想著在某個獨屬於她的地方，每夜細數著天上的繁星。
僅僅是這樣無謂的夢想，便給予了她活下去的勇氣。
給予了她逃離這裡的決心。

Since she could remember, the young girl had never seen the stars.
To be precise, she had never witnessed a sky unobstructed by anything, where one could seemingly count the countless stars dotting the heavens.
This was because, in the deep forest where towering trees reigned and the elven village resided, the sky could only be fully admired from the royal quarters atop the Mother Tree or the cliff edges of Mount Sental.
Many times, the girl had slipped away from home to gaze skyward in the nearby forest. Yet, all she could see were dense canopies filtering faint glimmers of sunlight or the occasional stars peeking through.
They said the stars in the sky outnumbered the leaves on the Mother Tree.
They said there were as many stars as there were people in the world, for each star represented a person.
They said that the night sky, filled with countless dazzling stars, was like a tapestry of jewels set against the dark, reflecting the elegant, cool light of the moon.
The girl dreamed of gazing at the stars, seeking the one that belonged to her.
She dreamed of piecing together the constellations in the tranquil and serene night.
She dreamed of finding a place of her own where she could count the stars every evening.
It was this seemingly futile dream that gave her the courage to keep going.
