Meet Vivienne

You've already been introduced to my OC, Morgan, the purple-haired gamer foxgirl you see all over my page (see illust/123536385). Now, I would like to introduce her mother, Vivienne (only her old college friends are allowed to call her 'Viv'). You've met her before (illust/123115737), but she looks a little different now. No, she didn't get a make-over -- well, actually, I guess she did, in a way. I generated my first images of her using a different UI, different checkpoint, different style models, and different pretty much everything else from what I usually use now, so I wanted to update her and feature her on the page a bit more often.

As I mentioned when you first met her, she's more analog than her very digital daughter, preferring the feel of paper between her fingers rather than a game controller or a touch screen. Morgan bought her a cellphone, but can't convince Vivienne to use it for anything other than phone calls. When Morgan rolls her eyes and calls her mother "old-school," Vivienne takes it as a compliment. To tell the truth, Vivienne enjoys being "out of date" because it's a great way to tease Morgan -- but it's also a way for Vivienne to remind her daughter that there is more to life than what can be found on a screen.

Vivienne's husband (Morgan's father) passed away when Morgan was 9, and Vivienne has never remarried. There is a very attractive librarian she's been seen having tea with quite a lot recently, but Vivienne calmly denies Morgan's description of these as 'dates' -- although there is a twinkle in her eye when she does so.

Vivienne loves to read. She enjoys history books (right now, she's reading a new book about the early Middle Ages), mystery novels (she has two complete sets of the Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries, "just in case"), and lesbian romances (she claims she likes the characters better than the ones in mainstream hetero romances, but Morgan has snuck a peek and some of them have a lot less plot -- and more hot sex -- than Vivienne would have her believe). And, of course, she's wise enough to know that the best companion to a good book is a nice cup of tea.

Vivienne has always been there for her daughter, and always will be. Now that Morgan is older and more independent, Vivienne has more time for herself -- and for attractive librarians. But, whatever happens, Vivienne and Morgan will always be the best of friends. They've been through hell together, and they have each other's backs -- always.
