Reina has a fierce plump frame and an even fiercer temper that's way too easy to set off. She's a scorpion yokai that was made from what was essentially a happy accident.
Reina would be the end result of an odd science experiment in a certain foundation. Something about mixing high intelligence, biomaterial, a scorpion, and something called human sawdust into a mixer and seeing what stuck. The mixer would of course explode and out of the smoke would appear a girl with a large scorpion tail. But before anyone could react Reina would immediately devour one of the researchers whole before moving on to the next one. Despite looking quite frail and actually skinny at the time she was surprisingly strong and agile though her instinct to devour everyone was met with an enforcer trying to put her down, but even he was obliterated by Reina's tail. She would then escape the foundation, not before stealing the clothes of one researcher and going off into the night. Feeling completely full from uh... everyone she just ate, Reina would enter a hibernation state. Burrowing herself into the ground and going to sleep. After a literal millennia, Reina's resting spot would be unearthed, but all that time of sleeping her brain was developing and essentially stealing all the information and memory from the researchers she ate. And so she appeared less feral and was able to speak in full sentences, in fact, she gave herself the name Reina Sniffles after gaining the memories of an eaten researcher.
Entoan, who was at the digging site would take Reina to his wife Suwa. Her being adopted was as simple as saying the alphabet as Suwa found Reina adorable and wanted to bring her into the family. In today's time, Reina is in a constant state of sickness and with no known cause. A combination of headaches, bloating, and runny nose makes her temper flare like crazy and it's almost as fierce as Suwa's. Though she has a soft spot for children and will treat them with love and tenderness, and she's the primary babysitter when other older family members are out of the house. At one point in her life, Reina's tail began acting out on its own, it would move against her will, stab her in the bum, and sporadically move when she tried cleaning it. Then it blossomed, opening up to reveal a large eye and proving that it did have sentience. Instead of sawing it off Reina decided to keep it and would affectionately give it them Zeek.
