ShiratoriSachiko and Aoi are in the volleyball club (the girls in the picture above are not them, just generic characters). I really really really wanted to include in the novel an illustration of Sachiko jumping and performing a beautiful and powerful spike. However, I was unable to do that. Still, there are some volley illustrations that are very cute in the novel.

Tarou: You couldn’t sleep? Just go back inside and ask Aoi to sing you a lullaby or something, you crybaby.
Sachiko: Yeah, I can’t sleep. It was a terrible day…
Tarou: Well, after the scene you caused… You’re such an idiot…
Sachiko: Do you have to be so mean all the time? Geez! And what about you, you couldn’t sleep either?
Tarou: Un, something like that.
