CHARLENE LACROIX

Charlene is the only daughter of Gerard Lacroix, a long serving officer in the French Gendarmerie. However, Charlene describes her relationship with her parents as "distant", since he had wanted a son, and was disappointed that not only was Charlene born a girl, but also cause her mother could no longer conceive due to complications from her birth.
Even though Charlene tried her best to get her father's acknowledgement, Charlene was sent to a gymnasium (a combination of a boarding school and orphanage) once her parents decided they could not care for a daughter they did not plan for. Charlene's time at the gymnasium was unremarkable, though there are records of her taking beatings when she stood forward to defend kids being tormented.
Despite no longer being in contact with her parents, it seems there was some residue of influence that made Charlene want to join the Gendarmerie once she was of age. Quite by coincidence, Charlene was found to have ether compatibility, so Charlene ended up in Orbian Academy as part of the first cadre of powersuit users for the French Gendarmerie.
Charlene's powersuit is not yet known, although given her affiliation with the French Gendarmerie, it should be an official model currently in use.
