KIMIKO KUGIMIYA

Every country has thrown their hat in on the "powersuit arms race", and Japan is no exception. In fact, Japan is one of the most aggressive countries invested in powersuit technology, with three leading conglomerates vying for the top spot.
Kimiko is a "compromise" candidate to be sent to Orbian Academy, representing the Sato-Kono conglomerate based out of Nagasaki. Although the Sato and Kono families collaborated on a powersuit design, it was more of an alliance of convenience to combat the other two conglomerates in Osaka and Tokyo, and neither family trusted each other. Due to this mutual distrust, it became difficult to decide who to send to Orbian Academy.
Kimiko ended up being chosen as she was the only candidate both sides trusted, even though Kimiko herself has close ties to the Sato family. In addition, of the prospective candidates, Kimiko has the strongest ether synergy to operate their powersuit, so both families had their hands tied.
Although Kimiko is not in any student boards or leadership positions, she has a reputation for being diplomatic and slow to anger. Therefore, she is often the one people turn to if they needed a middle party to oversee potential powder kegs situations.
Kimiko is not a potential love interest due to her background and family ties, but she is a good practice to find out what works (and what does not) to woo other love interests in Orbian Academy.
