Vanellope suffered a catastrophic accident in her exploits in Slaughter Race. Being coded into the game saved her life, as well as giving her an adult form, but her glitch corrupted the process. It caused her to regenerate incompletely, leaving her without the use of her legs.

She won't let this stop her from racing, or messing with her favorite wrecker.
