JewelEntry No. 8 of my handheld sketchbook series!
Heyo! I’m back! Apologies for the long unannounced hiatus, I swear I am back!! For the time being, at least. I’m worried I’ll get too busy to post again in a couple of months, but I’ll do my best keep you all updated if my schedule becomes inconsistent again.
With that being said, I am super excited!! Because while I still have quite a bit of old art to post, but soon you guys will be getting to see more of my digital work! Which is the stuff I’m super proud of!! I will say in advance though that the look of my digital work is a bit different from my traditional work and that I will be posting digital art more often, but I think you guys will really like it regardless! So be on the lookout for that :D
To the sketchbook page itself, I was pretty proud of this one in the moment because it was my first time drawing a full-body without reference. Not that references are bad, I still use them lots, especially when drawing full bodies! But it was a sign in the moment that I was improving, which was pretty awesome imo. I do also plan to draw this girl more in the future; it was super fun experimenting with the makeup and earrings in the close-up shot and I’d love to do it more! And yeah I know the one foot is wonky but shhh 🤫 this was over half a year ago, I’ve improved lots since then :)
