CREST AGENT TARANEH
Taraneh's intelligence from a young age was what attracted the interest of CREST agents in Pacifica (comprising much of the Pacific US States in my friend's New Earth lore). After working as a field agent, Taraneh was assigned to CREST's Intelligence Division following her 18th birthday, where she worked with intelligence gathering. This also involves "interrogation", for lack of a better term, especially given Taraneh's talents for water-based attacked.
CRESCENT MOON TARANEH
"Intelligent, but closed off" is the term often used to describe Taraneh within the Crescent Moon campus grounds. Taraneh was a member of the first batch of Crescent Moon's "special enrollment" outreach program to recruit talents (usually magically inclined) from beyond Europe's borders. Perhaps this is why Taraneh chooses to be closed off, having to constantly fend off questions over whether she belongs in this prestigious school or not. Her grades and talent with water magics seem to suggest she does, so maybe it was other reasons to express doubt?
