A few months into learning pixel art, I then decided to step it up by doing a 360 model animation of Montblanc and also giving her a complete redesign, the 3/4 view of which became the origin of my pfp. This was heavily inspired by MortMort's character and animation tutorial up on YouTube. However, unlike in MortMort's tutorial where he went for a top-down character, I opted for just a full frontal camera angle, mainly because of skill issue on my part hahah (ᵕ—ᴗ—).
I-in any case, it was around this time that I decided to break down each step of the process so that I could have a streamlined view of my workflow. This proved to be helpful as even at present, I have the habit of allocating each part of the pixel art project into their own layers and folder, which helps a lot in organizing stuff especially for projects with multiple layers.
Now, since the entire animation ran for 8 frames, it was a conscious choice for me to make Montblanc's pixel model as symmetrical as possible. That way I only needed to mirror frames 2-4 to make frames 6-8. Frame 5, which is the back view was fairly easy, but that was only because there wasn't any minute hair animation. Really, this is just Montblanc going "Kuru, Kuru~!" like a certain megaton hammer-wielding space genius. Oh, I also tried practicing shading and highlighting more for this redesign of Montblanc and was (and still am) sorta proud with how the model turned out hahah.
So that's about it for this pixel art project. Don't get dizzy looking at Montblanc too much and have a good one ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧.
