Leo3592I know the 1999 inspector gadget isn't really your best gig, but from what I felt bout this movie is that this inspector gadget actually has a dream of becoming a real police officer one day, dispite working as a security guard. After the accident n some robotic transplant of some kind turn him to a half robot half human, he says go go gadget responsibly with his investigations n missions,n he actually saves the day on his own. Honestly, I think it's a little obvious whenever he's lost in his train of thoughts or needs help, he always counts on his niece n dog.
This is one of Gadget's niece n dog from the animated series. In the live action, they at times help Gadget solve the case n save the day.But in the animated series however, they solve the cases by themselves to help Gadget be safe n not get killed. They continue this type of thing behind his back, but there was a fan named polarstar from deviantart,(go check there if you're interested in reading that fanfiction he wrote) that wrote this novel called broken heart, where Gadget found out that Penny and Brain solved all their cases, fired himself cause of how dumb he felt, his archenemy caught him n his niece and dog. Thankfully he forgave his niece cause she understood why she solve the case for him, n defeated his archenemy, to which turns out to be a childhood friend who had a broken childhood. N his niece lived with his favorite uncle with her pet dog, but this time, Gadget took brain with him to solve the cases, n if Penny grew up, she might tag along with his uncle sometimes.
