Rafael is Christian's son, almost his complete opposite.
Christian raised him in strictness, did not allow him to relax and take advantage of his positions. You can’t call him a spoiled boy; since childhood he has had to endure the disdainful attitude of employees and some of the palace inhabitants.
There are rumors that the child is either adopted or a mistake of the Emperor’s youth, because Christian did not explain the appearance of his son in the palace. Of course, no one would dare to say anything about this to the face of the head of the empire, but Christian does not react in any way to the rumors spreading.
Christian believes that Rafael must fight for his good name himself if he wants to take his place. Being an emperor is a difficult task, so the path to the supremacy of an empire must be tortuous.
Therefore, in addition to studying at academies, Raphael is often sent on campaigns with other military personnel - let him try to solve the problems of rebellious uneducated villagers, live in harsh conditions in a tent, prevent the protection of enemies, etc.
Such a life would make any teenager angry and cruel. But not Raphael. He's a bun no matter what.
SPOILER: he is so good that the main character of a different race will fall in love with him in the future, but will regret it 😅
