GalahadA simple model based on what I believe to be a one-of-a-kind peace. An actual knife gun, or as it is referred to as "Knife shooting pistol" in the book Firearms Curiosa by Lewis Winant from which I learned of it.
From my knowledge, there is no other actual "knife gun" such as this in the world that I know of or have heard of ever before, and when I say "knife gun" I do mean a "knife gun" and not as is the case with every other "knife gun" that aren't actual knife guns as they dont actually shoot knives as their primary projectile but instead always have been either just a knife with a gun built onto it or a gun with a knife built onto it. This thing is truly unique.
Sadly in the book Firearms Curiosa, there is barely any information on page 238 of this piece other than 1 picture and the information that it shoots a knife and is from the collection of a gentleman named Dr. W.R. Funderburg.
Since there is not much information on the gun but just the black and white picture I had to take some artistic liberties when it came to bringing it into 3d such as having the gun be rather small so pocket-sized as I assume it must have been such with its more rounded shapes and decided that the barrel assembly should be of bronze as I think that looks nice and would have made sense as bronze and its many alloys can be cast easily into complex shapes allowing one to potentially cast the guns thin flat inner barrel which would be a really difficult task to do wia boring/drilling on steel.
