The Mew Mews were the fabled half-human/half-animal hybrid tribes that resided deep in the Jungles from prying eyes, living amongst the animals as a part of nature. Infamous among them were the Monkey Tribe who often took things way less seriously even when they should and for having boundless energy just to muck about. Of course, this childishness was not to be taken as an abscence of cleverness or intuition as many Jungle predators have found trying to pin one of the Monkey People down to be more trouble than it was worth with their tricks.
Of course, one forgets how predators have tricks of their own...
Pudding was a monkey girl that often was seen as sunshine personified with how rare it was to see her legitimately frown or so much as cry. She was often helpful and very good friend but was often too extroverted at time. Of course, giving off such energy meant that she'd often have to take five. And nothing was better for recharging herself than a study branch up high when the sun was in the right position. Her feet kicked up, hands behind her back. What could go wrong?
Pudding was unaware of why exactly she'd choose the branch that she would. But the sight of Kaa's face would remind her. For but a split second. The infamous rock python possessed the uncanny ability to hypnotize any animal. He could easily crush them with his coils but putting them under his thrall and letting themselves be swallowed whole always made his meal extra tasty. For Mew Mews, he often found them adorable as pets to play with much like how urban human made pets out of dogs or cats. He'd consume a fully grown one for proper meal but the young ones were his playthings between meals.
And Pudding was the once he adored playing with the most. As such, he implanted a certain suggestion for her to nap on a particular branch at a particular time of day so she'd unknowingly meet him for their playdate. Kaa would let her nap since there was something oh so cute about how she snorted and snored even when resting her eyes. But then he'd softly hiss at her into opening her eyes at least and then make eye contact. His peepers would produce multiple colors that glowed and made their victims happy. Far too happy to care about Kaa's more murky intentions.
Oh, how he adored the "Uh oh," written all over her face the second she saw him before her eyes began to reflect his. Pudding was already sunny in her disposition so the bliss he'd impart onto her was guarunteed to change her mood quickly. Kaa would just take his time. Let the little monkey feel his will superceeded by his own. If only she knew how much of a puppet she was for him...
