Non-Canon Situation: Meera has always been the curious sort, and always lost herself during the course of contemplating the inner workings of reality, especially through the realm of mathematics. That is why when she goes to the academy of higher learning and discovers the wacky and wonderful world of physics.
Meera is fascinated and instantly intrigued. And so to satisfy her innate intellectual curiosity, she spends countless hours, beyond course work material to unravel some of the gnawing questions bubbling up from the recesses of her mind.
Bapu, ever the faithful companion, stays by Meera side, cooing words of empathy and encouragement every so often to help rally Meera's spirit, whenever she appears to run out of steam or energy. He is careful to help balance her passion for knowledge with taking good care of her health, as Bapu reminds Meera gently to eat at least three times a day, and rest in short spurts every hour (on the hour).
