MysticTarantulaDwarven shields are completely made of metal, even with it's small scale it can still protect a dwarf. The weight is encumbering, but due to their small stature the dwarves can support the shields on the ground while still keeping most of their body protected. These shields are used to great effect at shieldwalls and to defend the dwarven crossbowers (and the effect of the intricately designed patterns and vibant colors serve well to appease the dwarves.)
