Something that I really liked about Xingqiu's original outfit is that it is quite easy to understand how it works- a coat on top of a white blouse, shorts with a sash belt, shoes with (probably) black socks and white spats over the top. But I think Xingqiu's new outfit is a lot more confusing, and I have spent a lot of time thinking about how it might work.

It was important to me that every garment in the ensemble looked like a somewhat realistic piece of clothing. I think for example, if you were to treat the majority of it as one stitched together blue and black garment, you would run the risk of it looking like a cosplay costume, rather than an actual Fontanian ensemble befitting of someone who has servants to help him put on his needlessly complicated outfit every morning.

I believe this is a fully Fontanian (French) style outfit. The only Liyue elements are the bamboo patterns and the type of buttons used.

I put a lot of effort into this, but take it with a grain of salt. I don't really know anything about fashion.
