Lunar WorxAn OC I made recently made. Marinette is a girl with a strange, if not totally broken, magic power called "Soul Bender". It can be used to control people's souls, both minding controlling and brainwashing them. But the real power lies in how she's able to remove a person's soul from their body, giving her complete dominion over both. She can place the souls in object, such as dolls, clothing, or even electronic, and imbue those items with magic powers of her own choosing. She can make those objects sentient, and alter the personalities and memories of any soul under her control. And the empty bodies will be made immune to aging, illness, and given super natural endurance. She can control the bodies at will like drones/puppets, making them act as she wants, or giving them limited autonomy. She can even change their basic appearance, such as hair, eye color, skin tone, and giving them anthromorphic features. She can use these powers on humans and animals alike. And she can even swap souls between different bodies.
Marinette was originally an ordinary girl, with loving parents, and raised in a sheltered life. But then her father passed away, and she couldn't cope with the loss. At some point, war broke out in her country and she and her mother fell victim to human trafficking. It's unknown if the magic was something she was born with, or given to her by a super natural being, but she obtained Soul Bender in response to the pain and trauma she felt. Not wanting to loose anyone else she loved, Marinette took the soul of her own mother, Maribelle, and placed it into her favorite doll, ironically a gift from her father. And she even dressed her mother's empty body up like said doll, and now treats them as one in the same. The poor girl has deluded herself into thinking this is the best way to hold onto people she likes. And she prefers the company of females, as any man will remind her of her late father.
And so, one can only wonder just what it'll take to reach this girl. And to help her learn the lessons she needs to set things right.
